…or as volleymom2 suggested: Song that you can listen to over and over again.

When I used to buy a new 45, I used to listen to it over and over again.  Just ask Jules K.  She’ll tell you about when I bought the Love Grows (Where My Rose Mary Goes) 45 record – and being my next door neighbor – she had to endure me playing over and over again.  Sorry, Jules!

Remember how we used to put the record on the stereo and move the record-holder-arm-thingie in the up-and-out position so when the tone arm reached the end of the record, it would automatically go back to the start of the record.  That was pretty cool, eh?

But back on topic – as volleymom2 suggested – Songs that we listened to over and over again.

When I’m on my computer and listening to songs on You Tube, I find myself listening to certain songs over and over again.  Such as:

For Rob@96744

And finally…

So, what are songs that you listened to over and over?

Music Time – Sun

28 May 2012

With the 70′s Nightclub Reunion – Encore coming up this Saturday,

I thought we’d kick off the week with music.  I’m looking for songs with titles, lyrics, artist names, etc. – anything to do with the word Sun or any variation of “sun” – like: sunshine, sunny, sunlight, sunburn, sunbeam, sunstroke, Sunday, etc.

Feel free to list a link to the song too.  Don’t worry if there are duplicates, I don’t expect you to read every single post.  Plus, it bumps up my post counts.

I’ll start off with a few.  Here’s one that I hope Greenwood will play once again at Saturday’s 70′s Nightclub Reunion:

Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying – Gerry & the Pacemakers

Walk Close To Me – Copper Nickel
“Walk close to me in the warmth of the morning sun

Love (Can Make You Happy) – Mercy
“Wake up in the morning with the sunshine in your eyes”

Sunlight – Three Dog Night

One Fine Morning – Lighthouse
“One fine morning girl I’ll wake up, wipe the sleep from my eyes, go outside and feel the sunshine

Sunlight Moonlight – Country Comfort

Come Run With Me – Copper Nickel
“Come run with me, come race the everlasting sun with me”

Seasons In The Sun – Terry Jacks

Okay, that’s enough for me.  Let’s see what songs you can think of that contains a variation of the word “Sun” in it – whether in the title, lyrics, artist, band name, producer, etc.

btw, tickets are still available for this Saturday’s 70′s NCR.  If you’re going, come visit me at table #10.  If I’m not there – check the dance floor!
